Technical diagnostics
We use Sentry to observe errors and a sample of performance. Technical reports exclude identity, cookies, form contents, search parameters, and free-form messages. The provider receives the network connection and its transport metadata; reporting uses an endpoint in the United States.
Usage analytics
We record controlled events, such as a completed search, a venue detail opening, or a link action. We do not send coordinates, IP addresses, comments, share messages, or free-form search text to analytics. Events and associated pseudonymous identifiers are deleted after 24 months.
Browser identifiers
The first-party oqfh_visitor cookie contains a random value and may last up to 365 days; it helps count unique visits and limit report abuse. The oqfh_analytics_session identifier remains in local browser storage until you clear the site's data. Each discovery uses a random discovery_id, with a 30-minute attribution window and a maximum 24-month database retention.
Location
We request your location only after an explicit action. Coordinates stay in the tab's memory for the search: they are not sent to analytics, the database, URLs, cookies, or local storage.
Saved venues
Your saved-venue list stays only in local browser storage until you remove an item or clear the site's data.
Venue reports
A report may include a type, optional comment, language, and timestamps. To reduce abuse, we store a pseudonymous HMAC signature; we do not keep the original identifier in the report. Reports, comments, moderation notes, and status history are deleted after 12 months.
Listing requests
When requesting a venue listing, you provide your name, contact details and venue information for our team to follow up. The request does not publish a venue or create an account. We delete this data 12 months after closing the request. Email delivery logs are deleted after 90 days; we retain a minimal signature to prevent duplicates. To reduce abuse, we transform a trusted network identifier into a protected signature without retaining the original address; counters are deleted after two days, with hourly cleanup.
Access, exports, and third parties
Only authorized administrators access internal tools. Analytics exports are aggregated and exclude raw identifiers, comments, and precise location. When you open maps or external links, you leave DiscoveRío and the external service's rules apply.
